Maddilyn Schaus is a familiar face at the BNP.  After working for BNP previously, Maddilyn left to work in government before returning to us. We are excited to welcome Maddilyn back as our Manager, Workforce Development, and our latest staff spotlight!

When asked what drew her back to BNP, Maddilyn said The Buffalo Niagara Partnership is truly a place where individuals that care deeply about the future of our region come together with skill sets to better our community. I was thrilled to return to the Partnership because of the tremendous teammates and leadership that exists within the BNP family.

In her role as the Manager of Workforce Development, she is responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with a broad range of partners and stakeholders to advance the goals of our initiatives and assist employers with their workforce needs.

Learn a little bit more about Maddilyn in this brief Q&A.

Q: What is your background in/what type of work were you in before the Partnership?

A: Before joining the Partnership, I worked in government at both the state and federal level for U.S. Senator Thom Tillis (NC) and New York State Senator Rob Ortt (NY62)

Q: What do you like to do for fun?

A: I love to spend time at Lake Chautauqua with my family and enjoy the fabulous Buffalo summers.

Q: Best Buffalo Hidden Gem.

A: Frank Gourmet Hot Dog’s- their French fries are truly sent from above!

Q: What is your favorite part about living in Buffalo?

A: I love living in Buffalo because of all the wonderful people. You can almost always find a shared connection with everyone you meet that makes the entire city feel like family.

Q: What do you like best about working from home?

A: My co-worker- a goldendoodle named Sonny!

Q: Since you are no longer commuting to work, how do you fill your drive time?

A: I have found that by saving commute time, it allows me to be more efficient and present in my morning routine at home. I also am able to work a little later past the normal end of the day without worrying about getting stuck in traffic!
