Ann Brooker is our Manager of Member Engagement. Ann works to communicate the value of the Partnership to our member companies and build strong relationships within the Buffalo Niagara community. Learn a little bit more about Ann in this brief Q&A.

Q: What is your background in/what type of work were you in before the Partnership?

Business development, event management and marketing.

Q: How did your past experience prepare you for your current role at the Partnership?

Forging relationships across business industries is my strong suit, and relevant to my role in Member Services. Quite frequently, I find my past business relationships cross paths with current and potential members.  Previous event management and sponsor recruiting lends itself well to supporting the BNP programs and events.  Understanding marketing of products and services enables me to provide stronger positioning, engagement and strategy for our members.

Q: Tell us a little known fact about yourself:

I was one of the first girls to play baseball on my town little league team.

Q: What do you like to do for fun?

Outdoor activities, attending local musicians’ events, traveling.

Q: Best Buffalo Hidden Gem:

Neighborhoods from Lewiston to Chautauqua.  There are so many places to see and things to do in the region.

Q: What is your favorite part about living in Buffalo?

The generosity of WNY people – time, assistance and support of local businesses and events.

Q. What are you doing differently post-pandemic that you didn’t do before?

More DIY projects around the house.

Q. What do you like best about working from home?

Time saved by not commuting and better time spend with family and friends.

Q. Since you are no longer commuting to work, how do you fill your drive time?

More time to exercise, plan evening activities, and handle day to day personal items.
