The Buffalo Niagara Partnership is proud to recognize Moog Inc. as the 2025 Business of the Year for its outstanding leadership, growth and commitment to the Buffalo Niagara community.

This year, Moog accelerated its momentum and strengthened its roots across the region through increased capital investments necessary to support its future sales growth. These included:

  • A new 150,000-square-foot Advanced Integrated Manufacturing facility
  • A new 13,000-square-foot Operations Training Center
  • A retrofitted and modernized 120,000-square-foot space avionics and actuation facility
  • Capacity expansions at its space propulsion facility in Niagara Falls

Together, these projects add 285,000 square feet of advanced space, increase production capacity for critical aerospace and defense programs, and strengthen the region’s workforce.

Beyond its facilities, Moog is deeply committed to cultivating manufacturing careers and building a strong talent pipeline. Through strategic partnerships with organizations like Northland Workforce Training Center, Say Yes Buffalo, Goodwill Industries and other employers, Moog inspires, recruits, trains and hires local manufacturing talent. At the same time, the company invests in upskilling opportunities to empower and advance its existing workforce.

“Moog exemplifies what it means to be Business of the Year,” says BNP CEO Dottie Gallagher. “Their significant investments in advanced facilities, workforce training and community partnerships demonstrate a long-term commitment not only to global excellence, but to Western New York. Moog’s record growth, job creation, and leadership in aerospace and defense show the strength of our region’s business community, and we are proud to honor them with this award.”

Pat Roche, president and CEO of Moog, says the global leader is proud to be named Business of the Year by the Buffalo Niagara Partnership.

Moog will receive this year’s award at the inaugural BNP Economic Champions celebration on Nov. 18 at The Admiral Room, where the BNP will recognize all of this year’s Economic Champions and raise a toast to Western New York's top leaders, change makers and innovators that are driving Buffalo Niagara's economy forward. “This recognition celebrates the dedication of our employees and the strategic investments that have come to fruition in Western New York in 2025,” Roche says. “These projects increase our production capacity for critical programs, strengthen and upskill the local workforce, and position Moog for sustained growth and manufacturing excellence for decades to come.

“We appreciate the BNP’s recognition and remain committed to being a strong local employer and trusted partner. We also thank our employees, customers and the community for their continued support.”

Founded in 1951, Moog is a worldwide designer, manufacturer, and systems integrator of high-performance precision motion and fluid controls and control systems. With more than 4,000 employees in Western New York, Moog’s high-performance systems control military and commercial aircraft, satellites, launch vehicles, defense systems, missiles, automated industrial machinery, and marine and medical equipment.

Moog’s recent investments reflect the scale of its impact. The company achieved record sales and earnings in FY 2024, and it’s on pace to set another record in FY 2025. This momentum positions it strongly heading into a milestone year, as Moog prepares to celebrate its 75th anniversary in Western New York in 2026.
