BUFFALO, N.Y. — A full 95 percent of young professionals who took a recent survey said they would recommend the Buffalo Niagara region as a place to live, work and play. But, in an important bellwether for the region, nearly one-third of those survey respondents don’t see opportunities for their own career growth in the region.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — As the regional chamber of commerce and privately funded economic development organization, the Buffalo Niagara Partnership has identified more than 24 legislative policy priorities that are critical to fostering an environment that enables private-sector investment and job creation.
BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo Niagara Partnership, the area’s regional chamber of commerce, announces the release of its Member Pulse Report, summarizing the findings of the Partnership’s annual Advocacy & Member Survey. The survey asked members about their perceptions of the business climate in Buffalo Niagara and New York State, as well as their top concerns as an employer in the region.
BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo Niagara Partnership announces that Employ Buffalo Niagara – a coalition of employers, community leaders, educators and service providers – has named Moyla Halimy and Caitlin Sutton as Workforce Development Managers. Halimy and Sutton will assist the coalition with efforts to strengthen the local job market and give employers better access to a greater number of qualified, diverse job candidates through employer-led workforce development. The Partnership created and oversees the efforts of the Employ Buffalo Niagara coalition.

Buffalo, NY – The Buffalo Niagara Partnership today released its Annual Report at a meeting of more than 200 people including its Board of Directors and members, along with community leaders. The report detailed the regional chamber of commerce’s successful work on behalf of its employer members over the course of the 2017-18 fiscal year.
The Buffalo Niagara Partnership joined together with the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce (Ontario), as well as government and labor leaders, in opposing the steel and aluminum tariffs recently imposed by the Trump administration. The bi-national group believes the tariffs will negatively impact the economy on both sides of the border, drive up costs for manufacturers and consumers and threaten jobs. In late May, President Trump imposed a 25 percent tariff on steel imported from Canada, Mexico and the European Union, as well as a 10 percent tariff on aluminum. The move comes as the United States attempts to renegotiate the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) with Canada and Mexico.
