The Partnership hosted a special Manufacturing Council meeting on safe operating practices in the wake of COVID-19.
Safe facility and operational management are critical focal points for both the remainder of the New York State on PAUSE order and the wider reopening of the regional economy to come.
Participants heard from Abigail Bassett, Senior Director of Operational Excellence at MacLean-Fogg, as she shared the company’s COVID-19 related protocols and safety measures. With factories across the nation and globe, MacLean-Fogg has documented its operational protocols, which can add value to manufacturers of all sizes and industries.

BUFFALO, N.Y. (The Buffalo News) —Dottie Gallagher, president of the Buffalo Niagara Partnership, said fears of random testing and possible quarantines in Ontario all worked to discourage significant aspects of the region’s integrated economy. She called the move “quite frankly, long overdue,” especially for those travelers discouraged to even try navigating requirements like ArriveCan.
The Public Health Agency of Canada announced it will lift all COVID-related restrictions on international travelers beginning this Saturday, October 1.
