Position Overview:

The Buffalo Niagara Partnership (BNP) is seeking a strategic, detail-oriented, and mission-driven Vice President for Finance & Operations to oversee the organization’s financial management and administrative functions. This position is a member of the BNP’s leadership team and will be essential in supporting the organization’s long-term financial growth and sustainability, as well as operational efficiency.

This individual will work closely with the President & CEO, senior leadership team, Finance and Audit Committee of the Board, and other team members to ensure the BNP’s fiscal health, regulatory compliance, and strong internal operations in support of its mission to empower, connect, and mobilize Buffalo Niagara employers.

After appropriate training and a transition period, this role will also serve as the BNP’s Entrepreneurship Operating System (EOS) Integrator, working to ensure there is organizational alignment on key initiatives, all teams are efficiently deploying EOS tools, and the BNP’s work is in service of organization’s revenue and engagement goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management:

  • Lead all financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes, including developing and managing the BNP’s annual budget.
  • Manage external vendor responsible for all accounts payable, receivable and payroll.
  • Oversee annual audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and all relevant financial regulations.
  • Develop and implement financial policies, internal controls, and procedures.
  • Monitor cash flow and recommend financial strategies to ensure sustainability.
  • Oversee grant compliance, reporting, and management

Administration & Operations:

  • Manage BNP’s contractional relationship and day-to-day activity with PEO firm (HR and benefits)
  • Manage BNP’s contractional relationship and day-to-day activity with IT provider
  • Oversee office management, vendor contracts, insurance, and facilities.
  • Evaluate and improve operational processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

EOS Integrator:

· Lead organization’s EOS efforts including:

o Adherence to short, mid and long-term financial and engagement plans

o Spearhead companywide EOS adoption, integration, and continuing education

o Facilitate leadership team’s EOS weekly meeting

Qualifications:

  • Strong commitment to the Buffalo Niagara Partnership’s mission and core values. This includes a desire to work for an organization dedicated to championing employers and the economic contributions they make to our community.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s or CPA preferred).
  • Minimum 7+ years of progressive experience in finance and administration
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working in financial reporting systems. CRM experience preferred.
  • Experience with human resources management and organizational operations.
  • Exceptional integrity, analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both strategically and hands-on.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Compensation & Benefits:

· Salary: $100,000 - $110,000 per year
