NYS Governor Andrew Cuomo announced today that all Orange and Yellow Zone restrictions in WNY have been lifted.

The Governor eliminated most zones across New York with some exceptions downstate.

Cuomo says the restrictions are being lifted as the “holiday surge” is over in New York with the state seeing a decline in both positivity rates and hospitalizations.

Employers are reminded that they must follow all industry specific re-opening guidelines as has been the case for the last several months.  Those guidelines can be found HERE.

Vaccine Update:

The Biden administration has announced that NYS can expect a 16 percent increase in its weekly vaccine allocation from the federal government over the next three weeks.  This will allow NYS and county health departments to continue vaccinating eligibility groups 1A and 1B.  The vaccine allocation remains scarce and far less than is necessary to meet demand of eligible populations.  As of today, 96% of the state’s current allocation has been administered.
