The 2024 Industry Leaders Forum: Today’s Tech
Blog Categories
January 4, 2024
Buffalo Niagara Partnership is launching the second year of the Industry Leaders Forum (ILF) building off of a successful inaugural 2023 program. As always, ILF’s goal is to provide a space for BNP members to strategize for the future success of their business, industry, and the overall economic vitality of Western New York.
In 2024, ILF will drill down into how the application of technology can impact and amplify our specific businesses and Buffalo Niagara’s collective economy. The recent regional tech hub designation, the health of our start-up ecosystem, the complexities of AI and e-commerce are the issues of the moment creating real opportunities for cross-sector collaboration.
The BNP is proud to welcome back the following ILF Strategic Partners to add valuable expertise to our conversations and communications throughout the year:
- Northland Workforce Training Center
- Buffalo Manufacturing Works
- CONEX
- NAIOP Commercial Real Estate Development Association
- UB’s New York Center for Excellence in Material Informatics
- Visit Buffalo Niagara
- Destination Niagara Falls USA
- Tech Buffalo
- The Western New York Chamber Alliance
- The National Federation of Independent Business
We are also excited to welcome these Strategic Partners to ILF for new insights and perspectives:
2024 ILF Series
The 2024 ILF kicks off on January 18th with Development & Construction and a conversation on Making Construction Tech a Priority in Western New York. Our panel of experts will be led by Frank Ciminelli, President & CEO of Arc Building Partners, as we discuss the construction sector’s role in the tech revolution – why it matters – and how disruptions can create money saving efficiencies on today’s jobs.
We will also be joined by members of NAIOP to discuss the regional real estate and development market, as well as Josh Veronica, BNP’s Manager of Government Affairs & Economic Development, for an advocacy update focused on how New York’s climate policy will dramatically impact building codes and Buffalo Common Council efforts to address affordable housing in the City.
