2026 Advocacy Agenda

An inflection point

Buffalo Niagara’s economic landscape is shifting.

Our region’s employers look different with the growing emergence of artificial intelligence. Our neighborhoods and commercial corridors – from Downtown Buffalo and the City of Niagara Falls to Lockport and Hamburg – look different as we continue to regain the momentum lost in 2020. Our energy grid looks different as new demands and maintenance needs become unignorable. Relations with Canada look different as cross-border traffic and trade has dropped.

It's a time of change.

Business and government leaders at every level can meet the moment with ambitious and sensible policymaking – by taking bold stances to deliver the growth, opportunity and affordability our region needs.

The Buffalo Niagara Partnership’s 2026 Advocacy Agenda is a roadmap on how to do so.

Together, we can build a stronger regional economy – one where workers see opportunity, businesses see growth and graduates see a future.

Let’s make change happen.
