The Partnership has an immediate opening for a Director, Talent Pipeline Management. The Partnership has fully adopted the national best practice, US Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Talent Pipeline Management strategy to address employer talent challenges. This position will be trained by the US Chamber in this process and manage all aspects of the program including: organizing employer collaboratives, engaging in demand planning, communicating competencies and credential requirements, obtaining and analyzing talent flows, developing and implementing shared performance measures, aligning incentives and continuous improvement through employer feedback, metric and outcomes tracking.
This position reports directly to the Vice President, Talent Programs and will manage the program staff and the development, funding, and implementation of employer collaboratives.
This position also facilitates individual members’ workforce requests and represents the Partnership on the Employ Buffalo Niagara Coalition.
The position will work with the marketing team on the development and implementation of a communications strategy for employer engagement and awareness.
In addition, the position requires providing research, data analysis and strategic thinking skills.
The ideal candidate must be willing to innovate and have a creative approach when executing and is a big picture thinker and possesses the ability to manage the details.
- The candidate must have prior private-sector workforce development experience, proven knowledge of workforce development and/or human resources experience.
- Public speaking, creative problem solving, time management, customer service and scheduling are necessary proficiencies. Also, must possess presentation experience and the ability to interpret and communicate data.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and clear and effective oral and written communication skills. Needs to act with a sense of urgency and have experience with accountability of goals.
- The position requires a bachelor’s degree and 5 to 7 years proven private sector workforce development/HR experience.
