Partnership Endorses Mark Grisanti For Re-Election to New York State Senate

BUFFALO–The Buffalo Niagara Partnership today endorsed Mark Grisanti for re-election to a third term as a member of the New York State Senate representing the 60th Senate District, which includes parts of the City of Buffalo as well as communities in both the Northtowns and the Southtowns areas of Western New York.

“Senator Mark Grisanti has consistently been one of the best advocates for taxpayers in Albany, and the Buffalo Niagara Partnership is proud to support his candidacy for re-election,” said Dottie Gallagher-Cohen, President & CEO of the Buffalo Niagara Partnership.  “Senator Grisanti has a stellar record representing Buffalo Niagara, including leading the fight for UB2020, reauthorizing historic preservation tax credits, reforming ballast water regulations, passing manufacturer tax relief and, most recently, extending the Brownfield Cleanup Program, the Partnership’s number one priority this year. We look forward to continuing to work with him on issues that impact Buffalo Niagara businesses and taxpayers.”

Grisanti and the Partnership have been close collaborators on economic development initiatives that have led to lower taxes, more jobs, cleaner neighborhoods and renewed economic opportunities in the Buffalo Niagara region.

“I am pleased and honored to once again have the support of the Buffalo Niagara Partnership,” said Grisanti. “They know, as I do, that the key to a prosperous Western New York is improving our business climate. That can best be accomplished by cutting taxes and eliminating wasteful government spending.”

The Partnership has long advocated for addressing New York State’s high tax burden, as has Grisanti, in an effort to advance the region’s business community and its ability to be competitive.

“Today, middle-class families in New York enjoy the lowest state tax rates in 61 years,” Grisanti added.  “I’m proud to have played a part in making that happen.”

The Buffalo Niagara Partnership is the area’s regional chamber of commerce and privately-funded economic development organization. Partnership members employ more than a quarter of a million people in the Buffalo Niagara region. By mobilizing members and strategic partners around common goals, the Partnership grows private investment and jobs in Buffalo Niagara through advocacy, business development, and convening.
