New Leadership for CanAm Efforts
Partnership names new Council Chair
BUFFALO–The Buffalo Niagara Partnership named Joanne Campagna as Chair of its newly-formed CanAm Council. Campagna is currently Senior Vice President of Global Commercial Banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
“I aim for the Partnership’s CanAm Council to be viewed as the main forum for open dialogue related to cross border trade in a binational community, said Campagna. “The Council will add measurable value to a member’s experience with the Partnership and will be the lead advocate for strengthening business relationships on both sides of the border.”
The Partnership’s CanAm Council represents member companies engaged in cross border commerce and oversees an agenda focused on bi-national relationship-building and border advocacy. The annual agenda is created based on member feedback and sets the priority action items for the coming year.
The CanAm Council is part of the Partnership’s ongoing CanAm efforts including advocating for truck cargo pre-inspection at the Peace Bridge, bi-national chamber events with Greater Niagara (ON) Regional Chamber of Commerce and its Next Niagara young professionals program, hosting networking events for cross border connections with the Buffalo Niagara Enterprise and the creation of Business Development – CanAm personnel at the Partnership in the wake of the Canadian Consulate closing.
