Presentation Highlights

  • Panel conversation on the role Mentorships and Employee Resource groups play in creating environments of equity.
  • Learn how Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) build community and relationships, resulting in increased engagement.     


Eric Yarwood is the Executive Director of the Education Collaborative of WNY (EdCo).  He previously was the Assistant Director of Technology Integration at EdCo and a Social Studies Teacher.  Eric has a master’s degree in education and a bachelor’s degree in history from the University at Buffalo.  He has been leading the EdCo partner school’s diversity, equity and inclusion efforts for the last three years and was a 2020 BBF IDEA Award recipient.

Our 4th Annual Diversity & Inclusion Symposium will feature national experts on D&I sharing their knowledge on subjects such as implicit bias, building an inclusive culture, and the best practices for D&I initiative implementation.

KEYNOTE: Angela Glover Blackwell Founder in Residence at PolicyLink and nationally recognized leading voice in the movement for equity in America.

This half-day event will feature workshops and break-out sessions with actionable next steps for attendees to take away.
