Chantele Thompson is a Buffalo native and has served marginalized and underrepresented populations throughout Western New York her entire career in human services, health care, education and church ministry. Chantele has a Master of Public Administration, Master of Education and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Chantele is also a volunteer board member for International Child Advancement, as secretary. She also provides independent consulting assisting nonprofit and faith based organizations in diversity, equity, and inclusion implementation. Chantele continues to work alongside other diversity practitioners as a member of the Society for Diversity, New York State Coalition for Children’s Behavioral Health Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Committee, and the African American Health Equities Task Force.
Today, Chantele is representing Child and Family Services of Erie County and Stanley G. Falk School as Chief Equity and Inclusion Officer. In this role, Chantele is responsible for design and implementation of the data-driven diversity, equity and inclusion strategy, broadening the organization’s reach into the community, strengthening local partnerships, and ultimately improving client outcomes. As a part of the inclusive and holistic approach to employee retention, DEI efforts are enhanced by the organization’s Employee Assistance Program.
