Cassandra Mitchell is SVP, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Strategy and Engagement for KeyBank. Serving as a strategic partner to senior executives to deliver DE&I goals and initiatives and as a collaborator with line of business partners across the enterprise to drive DE&I strategies. She is also an advisor to and advocate for KeyBank’s Key Business Impact Networking Group (KBING) network, employee volunteer groups that are a vital component of Key’s diversity and inclusion strategy to help Key attract, engage, develop and retain a diverse workforce.
Cassandra joined KeyBank in 2012 as a Senior Recruiter with Human Resources and most recently served as Corporate Responsibility Officer for the Pacific Northwest. In that role she managed community engagement strategy for the Washington, Oregon and Alaska regions, including strategically advising market leadership teams on philanthropic investments, community initiatives and corporate engagements with local nonprofit and community partners.
Cassandra’s personal commitment and focus is serving the Puget Sound community through civic engagement. Cassandra serves on the Board of Directors for Sound Outreach, Foundation for Tacoma Students, Community Roots Housing and YWCA Seattle-King County.
Cassandra received her Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management from Colorado State University and also completed her Professional Human Resource (PHR) certification. She is originally from Portland, Oregon but has called Seattle, WA home for over 20 years with her three daughters, Sierra, Kamryn and Kadyn.
