Advice for someone starting, or continuing on their D&I journey:
“Be patient! Building a Diverse and Inclusive workplace is not an initiative, it is a journey.”
An established expert in data analytics and market research, Andrea Berki-Nnuji is currently the Vice President of Data Analytics at Crowley Webb, a full-service advertising agency in downtown Buffalo, where she’s led the analytics department for more than eight years. Andrea began her education at Dallas College where she earned her associate degree in business. From there, she went on to D’Youville College, earning both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in international business. Today, Andrea is certified in predictive analytics from the University of California and has more fifteen years of market research and analytics experience across a variety of industries including healthcare, finance, and education. Most recently, Andrea is a graduate of Leadership Buffalo’s Class of 2020.
Andrea’s impact on diversity and inclusion was felt almost immediately at Crowley Webb, with her advocacy for intentionally hiring a more diverse workforce. Her consistent drive for improving such practices ultimately led to the creation of the agency’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee. Andrea’s leadership on this committee has resulted in numerous initiatives, including agency-wide education sessions and Chroma ‒ a project to help local minority-owned businesses with marketing and communication needs.
One of Andrea’s proudest achievements was playing an integral role in the planning and execution of the 2020 Western New York Diversity & Inclusion Business Community Assessment, in which she led the data collection for and analysis of this important benchmark of WNY’s D&I progress.
