2021 D&I Symposium: Angela Glover Blackwell – Keynote Sneak Peek

The BNP is pleased to welcome Angela Glover Blackwell as the Keynote speaker at our 2021 D&I Symposium: DEI at Work.

Below, learn more about how Angela is a leading voice for equity in America and get a sneak peek at the keynote address you won’t want to miss: Diversity, Equity & Inclusion in Business: Your Moment is Now.

Meet Angela Glover Blackwell, founder in residence at PolicyLink, a national research and action institute advancing racial and economic equity and working to transform policy making in the United States. Angela will speak about the special role business plays in advancing diversity, equity and inclusion and why the moment is now to keep moving forward.

“We have worked so hard to get to where we are today and people are ready to be transformed even further,” Angela explains. “Business leaders must understand that DE&I is not charity work – it is simply good for business. Our country has given us the gift of diversity and it is an asset that companies can tap into to create growth.”

Angela will address the idea of DE&I as a journey for business organizations, where some may be further along than others, but where everyone has work to do. She will provide guidance on building DE&I infrastructure, setting goals and holding people accountable to make necessary changes at every level of an organization. That includes the CEO and upper management who must lead the journey with the help of the entire team.

Angela will also share real world examples and detailed data to make the case for the competitive advantages of DE&I for business. Blending her experience and expertise with an engaging and inspiring speaking style, Angela’s presentation is a must see for Buffalo Niagara business leaders and associates.
