Ca-rin Miles is our Human Resources Administrator and Director of First Impressions! She is responsible for the front office administration, greeting clients and guests, and providing human resources and office support for the Buffalo Niagara Partnership, as well as Invest Buffalo Niagara. Q: What is your background in/what type of work were you in before the Partnership?
A: My background is in Human Resources and Customer Service. Before coming to the Partnership, I had jobs in Human Resources and Payroll for Rich Products Corp and Sheehan Memorial Hospital.
Q: How did your past experience prepare you for your current role at the Partnership?
A: My work experience in both public and private sector has taught me that no day is ever the same in the HR world. You have to be a people’s person with a unique sense of humor to accommodate various personalities in the workplace. I’ve embraced every experience; good and bad, and that has allowed me to grow personally and professionally. My past experiences have also taught me to provide great customer service and treat everyone with respect.
Q: Tell us a little known fact about yourself:
A: I’m corny with a great sense of humor and my smiles are contagious. Put “S” in front of Miles and that’s what I provide on a daily basis – “Smiles”! Smiles are definitely needed in the workplace. 😊
Q: What do you like to do for fun?
A: Listen to music and travel with friends & family, cuddle with our 5 year old mastiff, Tazer and hang out with our daughters; Diamond & Jewel during college breaks.
Q: Best Buffalo Hidden Gem:
A: Shakespeare in the summer at Delaware Park.
Q: What is your favorite part about living in Buffalo?
