Rasul Khan
Enterprise Architect
Independent Health

Rasul Khan has 18 years of IT experience and is currently an Enterprise Architect at Independent Health Association. He works closely with business and IT in developing software solutions, engaging vendors for evaluating new products, developing technology road maps, and innovating new solutions through proof of concepts. Prior to Independent Health, Khan worked at Fisher-Price in East Aurora, NY and GE Aircraft Engines in Cincinnati, OH.

Career Highlights

Rasul was part of the Independent Health Enterprise Data Warehouse team that received “Health IT Award” as part of Infotech Niagara’s 2013 BETA winners. At Fisher-Price, the sales and marketing team challenged IT to get insights into Point-of-Sale (POS) data of retailers like Walmart, Target, etc. for which Rasul was instrumental in building their POS Data Warehouse.

Best Piece of Advice Given Regarding Career

Aim small, miss small and Think Big.  Work towards reaching the targets in multiple small steps. Also, to bring a change, you have to be part of the change – Do not hesitate to take up more responsibilities. (From his then manager and now best friend, Steve Czajkowski.)

  • Organizing community events by working closely with other organizations – Including Network of Religious Communities, MPAC-WNY, Jewish Community Center, WNY Muslims, Interfaith Climate Justice group, UB Journalism department, ACCESS WNY, RAHAMA, ICAWNY
