FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
July 26, 2011

Loftis Elected as Buffalo Niagara Partnership
Board Chair

(BUFFALO, NY) – The Buffalo Niagara Partnership’s Board of Directors today unanimously elected Tim C. Loftis, a partner and vice chair at law firm Jaeckle Fleischmann & Mugel, as its new chairman. Loftis, who most recently served as the board’s vice chair following a number of years as secretary, succeeds outgoing chair Jon Dandes.

“Tim has been one of this organization's longest running active volunteers, starting with his role as a NOW campaign initiative leader in 2001.  So, Tim is a great choice, and his election is a well deserved recognition of his multiple efforts on behalf of the Partnership and our members,” said Andrew J. Rudnick, President and CEO of the Buffalo Niagara Partnership. “I very much look forward to working with him.”

Loftis is a partner in Jaeckle Fleischmann & Mugel’s Business and Corporate practice group. Prior to joining the firm in 1990, Loftis was general counsel for a large wholesale food distributor and franchisor operating in Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, New York and New Jersey. While engaged in private practice (both before and after holding such general counsel position), Loftis has provided services to business entities engaged in the manufacturing, distribution and service sectors and commercial banks. He has extensive experience in handling business and corporate matters (with an emphasis on transactional work including domestic and international mergers and acquisitions) and commercial finance work (representing both lenders and borrowers in complex financing transactions).
