Buffalo Niagara Partnership Teams With Bloomberg Government to produce Why Washington Matters To You
December 8th Event to Expose Area Companies to Federal Contracting Process

(BUFFALO, N.Y.) - The Buffalo Niagara Partnership has announced a special teaming arrangement with Bloomberg Government, the government data & information arm of Bloomberg LP.  Together, the Buffalo Niagara Partnership and Bloomberg Government will provide Partnership members with training on federal spending data, in-depth information about the federal contracting process, as well as pending changes to federal legislation and regulations.  The new partnership will begin with a free seminar, Why Washington Matters to You, on December 8th at the Buffalo Niagara Partnership, 665 Main St #200, Buffalo, NY, 14203.

“Our region’s employers are always looking for new ways to succeed,” said Andrew Rudnick, President & CEO of the Buffalo Niagara Partnership.  “By working together with Bloomberg Government, we are providing just that – an opportunity to learn about federal contracting in order to bring additional economic activity to our region.”

“We are excited about our sponsorship of this training to companies in the Buffalo region in conjunction with the Buffalo Niagara Partnership,” said Don Baptiste, the Head of Bloomberg Government.  “Even though Washington is hundreds of miles away, industries in all regions can benefit from a deeper understanding of how actions in Washington impact all types of businesses, including bringing them new opportunities for revenue growth.”

Several Bloomberg Government executives will visit Buffalo for the event, including Jacqueline Gallus of Government Enterprise Sales; Anne Laurent, Team Lead for Federal Business Intelligence and Defense Analysis; and Darin Ohlandt, Head of Marketing for Bloomberg Government.

Why Washington Matters to You is open to non-members of the Buffalo Niagara Partnership and those interested in learning more about the organization.  In addition to manufacturers, logistics firms and agribusiness companies will benefit from learning more about the federal contracting process.  Registration is available on the Buffalo Niagara Partnership’s website at www.thepartnership.org
