Buffalo Niagara Partnership Endorses
Jane Corwin For Congress

(BUFFALO, N.Y.) – The Buffalo Niagara Partnership today endorsed Jane Corwin in the 26th District special election for Congress.

“NYS Assemblywoman Corwin is hands-down the best candidate the business community can hope to see in this seat. And I say that without there being any formally announced opponents, because it doesn’t really matter who runs against her.  She’s that much in tune with our issues, needs, and opportunities,” said Andrew J. Rudnick, President & CEO of the Partnership.

Corwin received a “grade” of 100% on the Unshackle Upstate legislative scorecard last session, which ranked her as the #1 most taxpayer-friendly member of the Assembly. The scorecard tracked each legislator’s budget votes, legislative votes and bill sponsorships, with a focus on legislative action tied to reducing taxes, fees and assessments, cutting state and local spending, reducing state borrowing and curtailing mandates.

“I appreciate the endorsement of the Partnership and share their commitment to strengthening Western New York’s economy and creating jobs here at home. As someone who has helped run a successful business, I understand the real-world affect of the burdensome regulations and costly taxes and fees placed on businesses of all sizes,” said Assemblywoman Jane Corwin. “If honored to be Western New York’s next representative in Congress, I will remain committed to reducing the costly burdens standing in the way of the success of small businesses so we can create jobs here in Western New York.”

Rudnick’s first meeting with Assemblywoman Corwin left a lasting impression. “I was “wowed” by her astute understanding of issues, as well as her intelligence and thoughtfulness; perhaps more so than any other elected with whom I’ve dealt over the years in my work at the Partnership,” Rudnick said. “She’s pragmatic and comes to this Congressional seat with the right point of view – that of a job creator and taxpayer, and as someone who’s raised a family Upstate and cares about her community. The Partnership is proud to endorse her for Congress.
