Andrew Rudnick, President and CEO of the Partnership, Tim Loftis, Partnership Board Chair and Partner at Jaeckle Fleischmann & Mugel, LLP and Jon Dandes, immediate past Chair and President of Rich Baseball Operations joined County Executive Chris Collins in a press conference held at member company ITT Heat Transfer in Cheektowaga, NY to announce the Partnership’s support for his reelection. The Partnership also endorsed City of Niagara Falls Mayor Paul Dyster (D) for re-election, Chris Jacobs (R) for election as Erie County Clerk, and New York State Assemblyman Mark Schroeder (D) for election as City of Buffalo Comptroller. At the press conference, Collins said “Erie County needs an executive with business experience to properly manage the massive $1 billion operation. The economy is strong and growing again in Erie County. I have the business background to continue this positive economic progress over the next four years, I am proud to have the endorsement of the Buffalo Niagara Partnership.” Regarding Collins, Rudnick said “Chris has ‘walked the talk’ and made county government far more efficient and its core services far more effective; and he’s done so under very difficult economic conditions. The Partnership is pleased to endorse Chris for re-election as Erie County Executive and looks forward to continue to work with him on growing our economy and making Erie County a better place to do business.” Discussing City of Niagara Falls Mayor Paul Dyster, Rudnick commented, “Mayor Dyster has provided refreshing and long overdue leadership in both running city government and working for sustained economic growth.” “Chris Jacobs has worked closely with the Partnership over the years, both as a businessperson and as a leader for K-12 education reform,” said Rudnick. “He has the right instincts and he cares about our community.” In discussing Assemblyman Mark Schroeder, Rudnick said “Mark has proven to be an independent thinking, speaking and acting elected official who truly cares about his community.”
