The Buffalo Niagara Partnership is accepting applications for the following positions: INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SERVICES COORDINATOR
The Information Technology Services Coordinator position consists of 3 key areas: information technology, database functions and the business intelligence program. He/She will also participate in related meetings and events and will work with Partnership staff to identify solutions to member company needs and help identify revenue opportunities. This position reports to the Information Services Director. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to: provide technical support for the organization which includes basic networking and troubleshooting, training and working with external IT consultants; perform database functions for improved data entry quality; answer internal and external requests for business intelligence; assist with business intelligence program and update information on the Business Intelligence webpages. The position will also provide support for reception coverage, back-up to other team positions, which may include membership, communications, business development and operations. The Information Technology Services Coordinator must be detailed oriented and have the ability to coordinate, multi-task, meet time sensitive deadlines and work within a team setting. Basic technology troubleshooting and MS Office (especially Excel) are required. Additionally, basic database skills, report writing and training experience are a plus. The incumbent must have strong analytical and communication, customer service, research and organization skills as well as initiative and a professional demeanor. In addition, a minimum of an IT related associate’s degree and 2+ years related experienced are required. PUBLIC RELATIONS INTERNThe Buffalo Niagara Partnership has an opening for a Public Relations intern within the Business Development department. This position will work with the Buffalo Niagara 360 program and Workforce Development. Responsibilities will include: assisting with communications and public relations activities undertaken by the Partnership; support planning and execution of (in conjunction with events staff) events that advance the Partnership's agenda; assist with development and implementation of marketing and communications goals; assist with managing the public website, Young Professional efforts and the organization of all public relations materials and archives. Intern will perform research, writing and editing tasks and general department assistance as needed. The Public Relations intern must have strong communications, organization and writing skills. Computer experience required. Juniors, seniors and graduate students preferred. INTERNSThe Buffalo Niagara Partnership, whose mission is to organize and undertake actions to expand private sector jobs and stimulate investments in the Buffalo Niagara region, currently has available several internship opportunities for summer/fall. Those majoring in marketing, human resources, political science, business/economic development, information technology or a field related to business development are encouraged to apply. These positions require individuals to be detail-oriented, well-organized and able to meet deadlines. We are looking for candidates who are seeking an opportunity to learn the intricacies of economic development, public policy, business development, regional planning and marketing as it relates to this specific industry, as well as the IT and Human Resource areas. The position will be during regular office hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The number of hours and days are flexible and can be adjusted depending on project needs.
