Great Response to Call for Volunteers
To date close to 200 people have stepped forward as volunteers for our Erie County fiscal/services review project. Given the number and caliber of volunteers, I’m very optimistic about the benefits our effort will produce.
This commitment demonstrates the level of frustration Partnership members have with the budget situation in Erie County. Rather than sit back and complain, members are putting their time and energy on the table to do something constructive to make sure we don’t see a repeat of this year’s ongoing budget fiasco, and – at the same time – take advantage of the obvious case for major change.
We know that Erie County’s financial health is directly linked to our region’s ability to grow – and your ability to do business here. If the business community does not step forward now, who else will?
The project oversight committee is having its initial meeting this Thursday and we’re in the final stages of hiring a project manager for the effort. That person will be introduced to you very soon.
Again, my sincere thanks. Given the volunteers who’ve stepped forward, I’m confident our effort will help move Erie County forward in the right direction. Sincerely,

Andrew J. Rudnick President & CEO
