Development Advisory Group

The Development Advisory Group works to identify, address and advocate for issues that impact development throughout the region. The group consists of representatives from the development community, transportation, real estate and infrastructure industries among others. One of its most important roles of this group is working on the Regional Agenda to identify policy and funding priorities for the Buffalo Niagara Region

Government Affairs Committee

The Government Affairs Committee (GAC) of the Buffalo Niagara Partnership focuses on how to advance the business community’s goals with local, state and federal government.  The GAC regularly meets with elected officials, drives the Partnership’s candidate endorsement and evaluation process, and provides counsel on government relations strategy aimed at achieving the objectives of the Partnership’s NOW Campaign and Regional Agenda.  The council also sponsors events the give Partnership members access to the region’s elected officials including, the Congressional Briefing Series, Buffalo Niagara Night in Albany, Elected Officials Reception and more.

Life Science Industries Council

The Life Science Industries Council focuses on the specialized needs of local companies in the Life Science Industries including, medical device manufacturing, research and healthcare delivery fields.  The council engages in advocacy aimed at creating an environment that supports the growth and development of the industries and develops programs and training designed to address employer needs at all levels.  The Council connects peers to share best practices and helps develop networking and successful business relationships.

Manufacturer’s Council

The Manufacturer’s Council’s mission is to improve the business performance of Buffalo Niagara manufacturers of all sizes by delivering programs, services and advocacy to enhance members’ revenue, cost/expense control and process excellence.  In order to address and support manufacturing needs, the Council presents a tour and seminar series designed to highlight the best practices of Buffalo Niagara’s leaders in manufacturing.

Logistics Council

The Logistics Council works to identify, educate and advocate policy changes to improve the logistics industry in Buffalo Niagara, a growing sector in our region uniquely positioned to foster development.  High priorities include increasing capacity at local border crossing, ensuring that new identification requirements for entering the U.S. at land borders do not interfere with trade and travel, and promoting Buffalo Niagara as a logistics hub for truck, rail and air freight.
