Purchasers' Roundtable
Purchasers’ Roundtable
Working together the Partnership and Upstate New York Regional Minority Purchasing Council Inc. (UNYRMPCI), have created a forum for purchasing representatives from corporations who are interested in developing or improving minority business development efforts and effectively increasing purchasing relationships with minority and women-owned suppliers. The roundtable will consist of five learning modules and matchmaking fair.
Course Overview:
- Best practices from diversity supplier industry experts
- Step-by-step approach to developing and expanding diversity procurement programs
- Allow participants to test their knowledge at targeted networking and match making events
- Match making expo hosted by Upstate New York Regional Minority Purchasing Council, Inc. (UNYRMPCI)
Diversity Supplier Program:
A component of the Purchasers’ Roundtable, this program is designed to enhance purchasing relationships between corporations and W/MBE’s in the region.
In 2008, the Partnership will facilitate an on-site, three-part program entitled How to Do Business Educational and Networking Series with area businesses:

- 5/8/08 8-9 AM (site TBD)
- 6/12/08 8-9 AM (site TBD)
The three-part pod cast training series begins:
- 4/4/08 12-1 PM
- 5/2/08 12-1 PM
- 6/6/08 9-10 AM
Buffalo, NY is the destination for UNYRMPCI’s annual MBE-MBE Conference being held April 17, 2008. The conference provides training and networking opportunities with MBE’s and regional corporations.
In September 2008, UNYRMPCI will host its annual Exposition and Business Opportunity Fair Expo in Buffalo, NY. The two-day event connects M/WBE’s with regional corporations, educational seminars and national speakers.
