The ATHENA Award ® Program is provided by ATHENA International to encourage the opening of leadership opportunities for women. Locally, the award program is dedicated to promoting and honoring the valuable contributions being made to advance the status of women in the Buffalo Niagara region.

Two women were honored on Wednesday, November 4th in Buffalo Niagara for their outstanding leadership and achievements as well as their mentorship of other women in business.

Sharon Lochocki, Senior Vice President & District Leader Business Banking, KeyBank was named the 2009 Athena Award recipient during a luncheon at the Adam’s Mark Hotel hosted by the Buffalo Niagara Partnership. Attorney Amy Martoche of Connors & Vilardo was named the 2009 Athena Young Professional.
