Partnership Political Action

The Partnership is the Buffalo Niagara region's advocate for strengthening our business environment - the largest statewide organization doing so in any region. Whether through advocacy on specific issues related to the business community, collaboration with other local organizations, greater use of web-based technology, or deeper involvement in political campaigns, as always, the Partnership's goal is to create a more business-friendly climate in our community, leading to new jobs and investment opportunity.

Government Affairs Council (GAC)

Chair: Jon Dandes, Rich Products

The Government Affairs Committee (GAC) of the Buffalo Niagara Partnership is the point of contact for all issues that deal with local, state and federal government and politics. The GAC consists of the Partnership’s politically-inclined members and regularly meets with local, state and federal officials to convey the goals of our region's business community. Throughout the year, the GAC will host guest speakers from government or politics during the GAC Speakers Series and is often privy to a “sneak peek” of Partnership policy position statements or political actions.  To join the GAC or suggest a guest speaker, contact AJ Wright at awright@thepartnership.org.

Political Action Committee (PAC)

The Partnership's Political Action Committee (PAC) - the Committee for Economic Growth - is a valuable tool in forwarding the message of the business community. Members' contributions to the PAC enable us to support state and local candidates who understand the challenges businesses in our region face, and will make the priorities of the Buffalo Niagara business community their own, as well as public relations and lobbying initiatives that create broad awareness of those priorities.
